Why Rate?
Let’s face it, I can say a lot of things about the nose, flavors, and price of the wine that help you determine if the wine’s profile fits your taste but what you also want to know is how it compares to every other similar wine that is out there. (i.e. should you try the wine for yourself or skip it). I decided to use the traditional rating method of A+ through C+ (I only rate wines I enjoy so no need for D’s and F’s) to give you a better idea my overall impression of the wine.
I am taking an unbiased approach in each rating and review but just because I rate a wine one way doesn’t mean that you won’t feel another. And if a wine is really bad, I will try another bottle just to confirm it wasn’t the result of improper storing, environmental factors, etc.
What the Ratings Mean…
- A+… Exceptional wine
- A and A-… Excellent wine
- B+… Very good wine
- B and B-… Good wine
- C+… Decent wine

Expensive wine does not mean it is the best.
