It’s official…spring fever has set in! After what seems like eons of rain, the sun finally decided to shine its warming beams on Sonoma County. Brandon and I are taking advantage of our first taste of spring and enjoying every moment of it. Here are some pics of the abundant beauty all over Sonoma right now!
The sun is shining and Sonoma Square is getting busy!
Mustard is popping up all over Sonoma County.
Did you know we have redwoods in Sonoma? We hiked Bartholomew Park and were surrounded by redwoods, streams, and beautiful wildlife!
I can’t think of a better way to wrap up a warm, sunny day in Sonoma then with a delicious meal at Fremont Diner. Their fried oyster sandwich is one of my faves…don’t forget to try their biscuits and fried chicken too!
Even with rain and cooler temperatures, winter is a wonderful time in Wine Country. This year, we have had a nice mix of rain & sunshine and mustard season is getting a head start. Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks!
Harvest has finally wrapped up so now we have more time to take advantage of everything the fall season has to offer! As this was our first totally open weekend since the beginning of August, we decided to explore the coast and fall foliage in the vineyards.
We have had a couple of days of rain over the last week so the coast is electric green! If you have never had a chance to explore the coast of Sonoma and Marin Counties, you need to put it on your list. Endless miles of beautiful coastline and breathtaking views!
One of the best parts of heading to the coast are all of the amazing seafood restaurants. This weekend, we stopped by Fishetarian for lunch. They have the most delicious fish tacos in Norcal as well as an array of fresh, local seafood.
We rounded out the weekend exploring the changing foliage in Healdsburg. Ridge Vineyards‘ property is putting on a magnificent display of color right now. An awesome way to wrap up Sunday afternoon!
Our recent adventures have been pretty amazing. There is always somewhere new to visit in the Bay Area and old favorites that you want to return to. One of my favorite things we have been doing regularly is relaxing at the Tuesday Night Farmer’s Market in Sonoma Square. Great music, wine, and produce!
We have also been making it a priority to explore the beaches of Sonoma County. Fort Ross State Beach is amazing. Be sure to pack some chairs, an umbrella, and a picnic!
We also has the chance to attend Rhone Rangers at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco. We had a great time sipping through California Rhone wines!
After years of wanting to visit the wine Promised Land, we finally made it to Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant in Berekeley. An epic wine shop that should be on everyone’s wine bucket list!
And, one last pic from the Sonoma Coast. We already have another trip planned for next week!
We took our first trip to Medlock Ames in Healdsburg. Such a beautiful property with plenty of patio space available to grab a bottle of wine and relax!
We were fortunate enough to be able to attend the Seven % Solution tasting in San Francisco. This is honestly the best domestic tasting we have ever attended. Amazing wines poured by passionate winemakers. Don’t miss this event next year!
We ventured through some of the backroads in Sonoma and Napa Counties. Seek out the road less traveled!
We also attended yet another fantastic wine tasting. West of West Wine Festival features cool-climate wines grown on the Sonoma Coast and this year it was held at the beautiful Golden Gate Club. We sipped some amazing Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay!
And last but not least, we finished the week in beautiful Sonoma Square. Sunshine, palm trees, and great wine!
