Just a heads up that the Garagiste Festival is coming to LA! I am excited about it but can’t be there because of the Wine Bloggers Conference in Santa Barbara (bad timing!). Hope you guys have a chance to make it and discover some incredible small-lot winemakers! Here are the details:
The Garagiste Festival: Urban Exposure
The renowned Garagiste Festival comes to the heart of Los Angeles for the very first time. Dubbed “a wildly exuberant and fun wine event” by the LA Times, The Garagiste Festival is famous for shining a light on hard-to-find, high-quality, small-lot commercial winemakers. Urban Exposure 2014 brings over 40 of these artisan winemaker discoveries, from all over California, to the stunning and historic Union Station. Over 100 hand-crafted wines. Cheese & Charcuterie from Wood & Vine. Never before have so many ‘garagiste’ winemakers poured under one roof in the City of Angels. For tickets and info go to www.garagistefestival.com.
July 12th / 2-5pm

Just a quick note to let everyone know tomorrow night is Food Truck Wednesday at Barsha Wine and Spirits in Manhattan Beach. This week it features “Cousins Maine Lobster Truck” along with a $5 wine selection from Barsha. One of my favorite neighborhood events since moving here a couple months ago!
If you are looking for a fun way to spend a weekend in Santa Barbara Wine Country, you have to check out the Santa Barbara Vintners Festival Grand Tasting on Saturday, April 12th! Held at the beautiful River View Park in Buellton, this event will feature more than 100 Santa Barbara wineries along with local food and vendors. This event is part of the Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend celebration.
I will be attending and look forward to exploring some of Santa Barbara’s best wineries. Follow the event live on Twitter via #sbvintnersfest!
Just a quick note to mention something going on in my backyard…the first annual Bite at the Beach in Manhattan Beach on May 17! The event benefits the Surfrider Foundation and features some awesome restaurants and breweries. Among the restaurants in the lineup are Simmzy’s, Pitfire Pizza and MB Post. Breweries include El Segundo Brewing Company, Ballast Point, and Ohana Brewing Company. Sounds like a great day by the beach to me!
