One good wine after another. I wish I could say that about all wineries but it does happen to be the case with all of the wines I have tried from Cimarone. I just enjoyed 3CV 2010 Bank, their estate proprietary Bordeaux blend.
About the Wine- From the Winery
Cimarone 3CV is a blend of 52% Cabernet, 26% Cabernet Franc, 9% Syrah, 6% Malbec, 4% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot from the Happy Canyon AVA of Santa Barbara. It has 14.5% alcohol and retails for $19.99. For more information visit www.cimarone.com
Now the Fun Part- Tasting the Wine
Bank pours a deep plum color in the glass with aromas of sour plum, vanilla, and spice. This blend is rich and earthy with round flavors of plum and blackberries surrounded by influences of vanilla. The finish is spicy and isn’t in a hurry to leave your taste buds. A great blend at a remarkable price. Once again, getting more than you paid for from Cimarone’s 3CV line!
My Wine Rating- B+
Food Pairing Suggestions- Pair this blend with rack of lamb, a juicy burger, or pork chops
