Next up in my tasting line-up from Jacob’s Creek is their 2009 Reserve Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir. The cool climate in the Adelaide Hills makes it an ideal region in Australia to produce Pinot Noir grapes.
Jacob’s Creek 2009 Reserve Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir has 13.5% alcohol and retails for around $13. For more information see www.jacobscreek.us.
Now The Fun Part- Tasting The Wine
This Pinot is a bright ruby color in the glass. The nose is filled with rich aromas of strawberries, cherries, and vanilla. Sweet tastes of strawberries, raspberries, cherries explode from the palate. Mellow tannins and hints of oak and spice round out the palate of this uncomplicated, smooth sipper. Easy like Sunday morning!
My Wine Rating- B
Food Pairing Suggestions- Pair this Pinot Noir with pan seared salmon, grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, or a warm duck and cabbage salad.
